Abbie Stevens, LMSW

Abbie is a Licensed Master Social Worker in Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia who brings both heart and skill to her work with individuals across the lifespan. She holds both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Social Work from Salisbury University, with a minor in Psychology, and has spent her career serving diverse communities through clinical, school-based, and community mental health settings.

Abbie has a gift for meeting people exactly where they are—with empathy, curiosity, and deep respect for their lived experience. Her passion lies in helping individuals navigate life’s stressors, transitions, and mental health challenges with courage and clarity. She offers a wide range of personalized interventions rooted in trauma-informed, strengths-based care, including expressive arts, mindfulness practices, play therapy techniques, EMDR strategies, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, psychoeducation, and nature-based healing.

With children and adolescents, Abbie weaves together an attachment-informed lens with EMDR and mindfulness to help young people move through trauma and reconnect with safety, trust, and self-worth. Her presence is calm, nurturing, and deeply attuned—creating space for clients to explore, express, and evolve.

Beyond the therapy room, Abbie has long been committed to community service and collective care. From childhood to present day, she has actively engaged with mission-driven organizations such as the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, the March of Dimes, the Salvation Army, the HALO Shelter, and the Wicomico County Humane Society. Her belief is simple and powerful: healthier communities build healthier people.

In all she does, Abbie seeks to be an advocate, a guide, and a source of gentle encouragement—empowering individuals to become their most authentic selves and live lives rooted in hope, connection, and wholeness.
