Alex Head

Alex is a graduate clinician currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Counselor Education with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. His path into the mental health field reflects a unique blend of creativity, cultural awareness, and clinical intention.

Prior to entering counseling, Alex built a career in New York’s fashion industry, studying international business and digital marketing and working in environments where identity, image, and culture intersect daily. This background continues to inform his clinical lens, particularly in exploring how self-expression, confidence, and societal expectations shape emotional wellbeing.

Alex is committed to providing culturally responsive and affirming care, with a focus on supporting LGBTQ+ individuals and communities of color. He approaches therapy as a collaborative and strengths-based process, creating space for clients to explore identity, navigate life transitions, and develop a deeper sense of authenticity and belonging.

As a bilingual Spanish-speaking clinician, Alex is dedicated to expanding access to inclusive mental health care and supporting diverse communities with intention and respect.

At The Holistic Hive, Alex is part of Bee Flight School, where emerging clinicians are trained through immersive, community-rooted practice. His work is grounded in the belief that meaningful change occurs within relationships built on trust, cultural understanding, and genuine human connection.
