Jennifer Messix, MSN, CRNP, PMHNP

Jenn Messix is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in the care of children, adolescents, and young adults. A native of Maryland's Eastern Shore, she brings a broad range of clinical experience and an integrated approach to psychiatric care that considers the relationship between psychological functioning, physical health, environment, and lived experience.

Jenn began her career as an Emergency Department nurse before transitioning into behavioral health, where she has worked across urgent psychiatric care, partial hospitalization programs, acute inpatient units, and residential treatment settings. Her experience across multiple levels of care informs her ability to recognize complex clinical needs while developing individualized, practical approaches to treatment.

Her clinical philosophy emphasizes collaboration, informed decision-making, and the importance of understanding each person beyond a diagnosis. Jenn integrates psychiatric medication management with lifestyle and behavioral interventions, considering how sleep, stress, relationships, daily routines, and environmental factors influence emotional and psychological well-being.
