Meet Venessa Bowers, MSW, LCSW-C, TCTSY-F, C-IAYT, CCTP, MA

Venessa Bowers is a deeply experienced and heart-led clinical social worker, licensed in Maryland (LCSW-C) and in six additional states: Arkansas, Delaware, Maine, New Hampshire, Indiana, and Virginia. She’s a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), trauma-informed yoga facilitator (TCTSY-F), Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) and holds multiple yoga therapy certifications (500 E-RYT, RCYT, RPYT, YACEP). Her clinical specialties include trauma recovery, OCD, eating disorders, and attachment-related challenges.

With a passion for healing that honors the whole person, Venessa weaves together a blend of expressive and evidence-based therapies—including creative modalities like art, music, movement, and play—alongside EMDR, CBT-E, ERP, IFS, and mindfulness. She holds a Master of Social Work from Indiana University and a Master of Arts from Purdue University.

Her leadership and innovation extend to building and managing CARF-accredited programs across Maryland, including outpatient mental health clinics, child and adolescent services, psychiatric rehabilitation programs, intensive family services, and medication management. She’s known for developing strong clinical systems, writing comprehensive policies, building training programs, and ensuring compliance with Maryland’s COMAR regulations, all while creating growth-focused environments for staff and clients alike.

A creative force in nonprofit leadership, Venessa also leads Beeline Creative, a boutique marketing and branding company that supports mission-driven mental health and wellness organizations. With a strong background in grant writing, fundraising, communications, and public relations, she helps nonprofits amplify their voice and expand their impact.

Venessa is a sought-after speaker, clinical trainer, approved supervisor by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners, and expert witness. She also teaches communication and social work at the collegiate level and supervises interns across academic institutions nationwide.
