Our Forensic Department sits at the intersection of mental health, child welfare, and the court system, supporting children and non-offending caregivers navigating some of the most complex and high-stakes moments in their lives.

With a new county contract expansion, our hive is growing, and we are seeking clinicians who are grounded, thoughtful, and ready to step into court-involved, systems-facing clinical work. If you can hold both compassion and clarity, both care and boundaries, this may be your place.
Your Role in the Hive:
As a Forensic Social Worker or Counselor, you will serve as both a clinician and a systems navigator, providing therapeutic and forensic-informed services to children and families involved in custody, child welfare, and reunification processes.

What You'll Do:
Provide trauma-informed, court-involved clinical services, including:
-
Individual therapy for children impacted by family conflict, abuse allegations, or separation•
-
Therapeutic support for non-offending caregivers navigating court or CPS involvement
-
Reunification therapy and structured parent-child sessions are ordered when needed
-
Family therapy focused on safety, attachment, and relational repair
Engage in forensic-informed clinical work:
-
Conduct intakes, psychosocial assessments, and clinical evaluations
-
Maintain clear, objective, and court-ready documentation
-
Support assessment processes such as family functioning or reunification readiness
-
Participate in case consultation and multidisciplinary coordination
Collaborate within systems:
-
Communicate with attorneys, guardians ad litem, and child protective services
-
Provide professional recommendations grounded in clinical evidence
-
Prepare documentation that may be used in legal proceedings

Participate in court processes when required
Care for the work and yourself:
-
Engage in supervision and reflective consultation
-
Maintain clear boundaries and ethical practice
-
Tend to your own regulation in complex, high-conflict cases
What We’re Looking For:
-
LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, or LCPC in Maryland (or license-eligible)
-
Experience working with children, adolescents, or families
-
Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills

Ability to navigate high-conflict dynamics without alignment or bias
Rooted in:

Trauma-informed and attachment-based care

Cultural humility and inclusive practice
-
Ethical clarity and professional boundaries
Bonus nectar:

Experience with court-involved families, CPS, or custody cases

Training in reunification therapy or forensic work

Background in EMDR, somatics, IFS, or expressive therapies

Bilingual or multilingual clinicians

Your Role in the Hive:
As an LMSW/LGPC therapist, you’ll be part clinician, part collaborator, part change-maker. You’ll provide individual and family therapy services rooted in trauma-informed, strengths-based care. You’ll receive weekly supervision and abundant support to help you grow your clinical wings.
You don’t need to be perfect. But you do need to show up with curiosity, integrity, cultural humility, and the willingness to hold space for real transformation.
What You'll Do:

Offer compassionate, developmentally attuned therapy to children, teens, adults, or families

Conduct intake assessments, co-create treatment plans, and maintain thoughtful documentation

Participate in reflective supervision, creative case consultation, and interdisciplinary collaboration

Practice through a lens of trauma awareness, cultural responsiveness, and anti-oppressive care
-
Co-facilitate groups, classes, or workshops (if desired—let your passions guide you)

Support families navigating stress, grief, identity shifts, and relational repair
-
Tend to your own wellness as a practitioner—we’re serious about collective care
What We’re Looking For:

LMSW or LGPC in Maryland (must be licensed and ready to see clients)

Strong grounding in trauma-informed, client-centered therapy models
-
Commitment to culturally affirming, LGBTQIA+ inclusive, anti-racist practice

Capacity to work with children, adolescents, and/or families

Comfort with collaborative care and being part of a buzzing interdisciplinary hive

Openness to learning from expressive, somatic, and community-based practices
